Is this you?

You might be exactly who we built this for.

You’re obsessed with Pilates and people keep saying “you should teach this.”
You want a real career you can build around your life — not a 9-to-5 you tolerate.
You’re nervous you’ll get certified and still not feel ready to teach a real body.
You’ve done an online course before and felt completely on your own.
You want hands-on time on the equipment — not just slides and quizzes.
You’d rather learn in a small room where someone actually knows your name.

If you nodded at even two of these — let’s talk.

Nice to meet you

I built this because no one built it for me.

A serious injury put me on the mat. Pilates gave me myself back — and I knew I had to teach it. But when I stood in front of my first real client, I was terrified: I held a certificate that hadn’t prepared me to teach a living, breathing body, with no mentor to call and no one in my corner.

I never wanted another woman to feel that alone. So I built the school I needed back then — small rooms, real mentorship, someone who stays with you past the certificate. That’s Go Pilates Academy. When you train with us, you don’t get a certificate and a goodbye — you get us.

The boutique difference

Up to 12 students per cohort. We see you.

This isn’t a course you disappear into. Every student gets a personal mentor and live one-on-one coaching — a small room where we know your name, watch you teach, and don’t let you leave until you’re ready.

Take a look inside the studio you’ll be training in.

A small Go Pilates Academy cohort in a studio session

A room, not a crowd

Every cohort is capped at 12. You’re never a face in the back — you get real attention, real corrections, and real answers to your questions.

Your own personal mentor

Not a group average — a mentor who knows your name, watches you teach, and coaches you one-on-one through the parts you find hard.

Taught, not tested-and-dropped

A mentor watches you teach and corrects you in the room — the hands-on coaching a screen can’t give you.

“I wanted a certification employers actually respect — and the confidence to work with real clients. I walked away feeling like a professional, not just someone who passed an exam.”
Olivia, 25 — Orange County, CA
How our certification works

One clear path — the same structure behind every track.

Every track is built the same way: a shared foundation you complete from home, then focused in-studio days where you actually touch the equipment, then mentored hours you log with our team. Here’s exactly where your hours go.

1 · Foundation (from home)

30 live hours of Functional Anatomy on Zoom (recorded) plus self-paced theory — finished before you ever step into the studio.

2 · In-studio intensive

The only hands-on part: live repertoire on real equipment in our Studio City space. This is where you learn spring settings, carriage setup, and tactile cueing that can’t be taught over a screen.

3 · Mentored & logged hours

Self-practice, observation, and supervised teaching — much of it guided remotely by our instructors, so you don’t need your own equipment to build real teaching hours.

Mat and Reformer run one after another

In the combined and Comprehensive tracks, your in-studio days aren’t scattered — they run as back-to-back modules in a single intensive, about 4.5 hours per day. You build the Mat repertoire first, then move onto the Reformer, and (in Comprehensive) finish with the full apparatus. Each layer builds on the one before it. The final exam is held on a separate day, scheduled per cohort.

One-on-one work is the highest-value part of most instructors’ week — on your terms, at the rate you set.

Build your own practice

Small groups or your own studio, on your schedule — a flexible career you shape around your life.

After you certify

We don’t stop at certification.

The scariest part isn’t the exam — it’s the silence afterwards. Not knowing how to get your first client, what to charge, or whether a studio will even take you seriously. That’s the part we refuse to leave you alone with. We don’t disappear after graduation.

A credential studios recognize

A clear pathway to the NPCP national exams — NPCP-PMC and NCPT, the credentials US studios and gyms recognize — means your application is taken seriously.

Interview & audition preparation

Most studios ask you to teach a sample class. Your mentor prepares you for exactly that, so you walk in ready instead of hoping.

Guidance on pricing & positioning

What to charge, how to package private sessions, and how to present yourself — the business side nobody teaches you.

A network that opens doors

600+ graduates in 30+ countries — real people who share openings, advice, and referrals.

Plus a full year in the Go Pilates Club

Certification is where most programs wave goodbye. For us, it’s where the Go Pilates Club begins — a full year of mentorship, community, and continued growth. The difference between having a certificate and having a career.

  • Ongoing mentor access — for the real questions that come up once you’re teaching
  • Advanced workshops, cueing libraries, and class templates
  • A global community of 600+ instructors across 30+ countries

Before you ask

Answers to the questions that keep people from starting.

How long does it take to become certified?
The in-person intensive is 3–11 days depending on your track, and you complete the anatomy and theory online around your own schedule. Most students finish their full certification within a few months — because the theory is online and self-paced, so you don’t have to put your life on hold.
When is the final exam?
The final assessment for the October cohorts is held November 20–21, scheduled separately from your studio days so you have time to prepare. A backup sitting is available if you need it, and retakes are always included.
Do I need prior experience to enroll?
No teaching experience is required. Many of our students come as dedicated practitioners ready to become instructors. The live anatomy and digital pre-work bring everyone to a shared foundation before the in-person intensive begins.
What if I miss a training day?
Life happens, and we work with you. Anatomy and theory are recorded, so those are easy to catch up. For studio days, talk to us — with small cohorts we can usually arrange a way for you to make up what you missed.
Will studios and gyms actually recognize this certification?
Our Mat, Mat + Reformer, and Comprehensive tracks prepare you for the NPCP’s national exams — NPCP-PMC (Mat and Mat + Reformer) and the NCPT (Comprehensive) — the primary US Pilates credentials that hiring studios recognize. (The credential is earned by passing the NPCP exam after you qualify; our program is your pathway to sit it.)
Do the Mat and Reformer parts happen at the same time or one after another?
One after another. In the combined and Comprehensive tracks, your in-studio days run as back-to-back modules in a single intensive — you complete the Mat repertoire first, then move onto the Reformer, then (in Comprehensive) the full apparatus. Each layer builds on the last, so nothing feels rushed or out of order.
Can I do this while working full-time?
Yes. The Functional Anatomy sessions are live but recorded, and all theory is self-paced, so you study on your own schedule. The only fixed in-person commitment is your intensive days in Los Angeles.
Do I need my own reformer or equipment at home?
No. The equipment work happens in our studios during the intensive. For your teaching-practice hours, much of your practice is guided remotely — you teach our instructors, who are on their own equipment — so you don’t need a machine at home to build real hours.
What happens if I don’t pass the exam?
Retakes are permitted without penalty. Our assessment exists to confirm you’re ready to teach safely, not to catch you out. If you need another attempt, you’ll get one — with support to prepare for it.
Are payment plans available?
Flexible payment options are available for every track. We’ll walk through the details together on your discovery call so you can plan with confidence.
