What Our Students Say About Us
Mat Pilates Certification FAQ
How does the program work?
You’ll receive a weekly task package with everything you need: video lessons to watch, exercises to practice, and assignments to submit. Twice a week, you meet your personal mentor for 1-on-1 sessions where you practice teaching, get feedback, and ask questions. Once a week, you join a group Practice Lab where you teach alongside other students. The only thing you do alone is watch the videos — everything else happens with our team.
Is the mentorship really included in the price?
Yes! This is what makes us different. 2 personal mentoring sessions per week + 1 group Practice Lab per week are fully included. No hidden fees, no upsells. We believe you can’t become a great instructor by watching videos alone — you need someone guiding you
How long does it take to complete?
We recommend about 90 days (~17 hours per week). But this is YOUR certification, at YOUR pace. Some students finish in 10 weeks, others take 4-5 months. Every week you receive your tasks — work through them when it fits your life. Your mentor adapts with you.
What if I need to pause or slow down?
Life happens — and we understand. If you need a slower week, just let your mentor know. She’ll adjust your pace. If you need to pause for a week or two, we’ll be here when you’re ready to continue. There are no rigid deadlines.
Do I need previous Pilates experience?
Yes! The mat certification is a perfect foundation. You can later add:
- Reformer certification (additional 120 hours)
- Full apparatus training (additional 270 hours)
- Specialized workshops (prenatal, seniors, rehabilitation) All previous coursework counts toward advanced certifications.
What equipment do I need?
Mat, ball, Pilates ring, resistance bands, and Pilates socks.
All included. All taken care of.
Is the certification internationally recognized?
Yes! Our certification meets NPCP (National Pilates Certification Program) and PAA (Pilates Alliance Australasia) standards. You can teach anywhere in the world.
Can I start teaching before I finish the full program?
As you progress, your mentor will guide you on when you’re ready to start practice teaching with real people. Many students begin teaching friends and family within the first few weeks. Paid teaching begins once you’re certified.
What happens after I graduate?
You join Go Pilates Club — our community of instructors with weekly tips, discounts, and networking. You also keep lifetime access to all course materials. And if you want, you can upgrade to Mat + Reformer certification — all your previous coursework counts!
Can I upgrade to Mat + Reformer or Comprehensive later?
Absolutely! Many students start with Mat and upgrade later. Your previous coursework fully counts toward the next level. It’s like continuing from where you left off — no starting over.
