Pilates teacher training

Become a certified Pilates instructor studios want to hire.

Four certifications. Two ways to earn them.

Choose the certification that matches the career you want — then choose whether you earn it from home or in one of our studios. Same method, same mentors, same credential either way.

You don’t need a fitness degree.

You don’t need to have taught before.

You don’t need to quit your job to do this.

You need a method you can trust — and someone in your corner while you learn it.

Our students arrive mid-career change, between maternity leaves, at 27 and at 57. Almost none of them had taught anything before. Most of them are teaching now.

Why students choose us

What that price includes that others charge for.

Included

Functional anatomy

Thirty live hours, recorded for life. Most schools bill anatomy separately, at $250–$980.

Every week

1-on-1 mentoring

Private live sessions with a mentor who knows your name — not a forum, not office hours, not a group average.

Max 12

Small in-person cohorts

Never more than twelve people in the room, so every correction is yours.

No extra fee

Exam retakes

Our assessment exists to confirm you’re ready to teach safely, not to bill you twice.

For life

Access and community

Every lesson stays yours, and the Go Pilates Club stays open long after you certify.

Recognition that travels

An NPCP Verified Program — a credential that doesn’t stop at a state line.

In every certification

What your tuition actually buys.

Personal 1-on-1 mentorship

A mentor who knows your name and your progress, live and face to face. Included in every certification, never an add-on.

Regular teaching practice

You teach while your mentor watches and corrects you. The stage most programs skip entirely, and the one that builds confidence.

Your mentoring workbook

A dedicated workbook you open together with your mentor during your live sessions, so nothing gets lost between them.

Your training kit

Mat, ring, resistance bands, ball, grip socks and your printed workbook, shipped to your door. You don’t have to source a thing.

Lifetime access

Every lesson, recording and resource stays yours — including the updates we add after you’ve graduated.

The Go Pilates Club

Workshops, member discounts and a global instructor network that stays open to you long after you certify.

What it felt like to learn with us

They all started exactly where you are.

I kept telling myself I’d sign up ‘next month’ because I didn’t feel ready yet. Eventually I realized I probably never would. The support throughout the program gave me the confidence I was missing, and now I’m actually excited every time I teach.
NNatalieOregon
I asked so many questions during this program. Honestly, I thought I’d get tired of waiting for replies, but that never happened. Every time I needed help, someone got back to me quickly. I never felt like I was figuring things out on my own, and that made such a difference.
RRebeccaNorth Carolina
Some weeks I studied every evening. Other weeks life got busy and I barely opened the course. Being able to learn at my own pace is the reason I actually finished.
MMorganMinnesota
The first practice session was terrifying. I remember thinking, ‘There’s no way I’m ready for this.’ My mentor talked me through it, gave me feedback afterward, and suddenly it didn’t feel impossible anymore. Looking back, that one session completely changed my confidence.
SSamanthaWashington
I’m not usually someone who writes reviews, but I still find myself going back to the lessons months later. Having lifetime access has been so helpful, especially when I want to refresh something before teaching a new client. I didn’t realize how valuable that would be until after I graduated.
DDianeArizona
I spent weeks comparing different certification programs before I finally enrolled. What stood out to me was how personal this one felt. I wasn’t just watching lessons and hoping for the best. I always knew there was someone I could ask, and I never felt like just another student.

Before you ask

The questions that come first.

What’s the difference between Mat and Reformer certification?
Mat qualifies you to teach the repertoire performed on a mat with small props — the classes most gyms and community studios run. Reformer qualifies you to teach on the machine, which is what boutique reformer studios are built around. They’re different skills and different hiring markets, which is why most students eventually want both.
Should I start with Mat, or go straight to the bigger certification?
If you want to be teaching within months, start with Mat. If you already know you want a full career in studios, Mat + Reformer saves you time and money over doing them separately. There’s no wrong order — every hour you complete counts toward the next level, so starting smaller costs you nothing but time.
Why is Comprehensive so much longer?
Because it covers the full apparatus studio — Cadillac, Chair and Barrels on top of mat and reformer — plus advanced programming, complex client cases, and the observation and teaching hours the NCPT exam requires. It’s the difference between being qualified for most studio roles and being qualified for all of them.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes, and many students do. Start with Mat, add Reformer later, or continue to Comprehensive. Your completed coursework fully carries over — you continue from where you stopped rather than starting again.
Do I need experience before enrolling?
Teaching experience, no — most of our students have never taught. A regular personal Pilates practice, yes. You should be comfortable in the work in your own body before you start guiding someone else through it.
Will studios and gyms recognize this certification?
Mat and Mat + Reformer make you eligible to sit the NPCP Mat examination (the PMC credential). The 450-hour Comprehensive makes you eligible to sit the NCPT examination. Reformer on its own awards a Go Pilates Academy certificate rather than an NPCP credential. In every case the credential is earned by passing NPCP’s exam — our programme is your pathway to sit it.
Is the online certificate the same as the in-person one?
Identical. Same method, same mentors, same standards, same certificate. The only difference is how you earn it — and which one suits your life better.
How long does it take?
That depends on your certification and how you study it. Online is self-paced, so students who study intensively move quickly and students fitting it around work and children take longer — both are fine. In person, your studio days are fixed and the rest is completed around them.
Are payment plans available?
Yes, on every certification and both formats. We’ll walk through the options with you on your call so you can plan properly rather than guess.
Ready when you are

Let’s work out which certification is yours.

A short conversation about where you are, what you want to teach, and which certification gets you there — and then how you’d like to earn it. We’ll tell you honestly if a smaller one is enough.

A real person replies, usually within a day. No pressure, no bots.
