In-person certification

Twelve students. One room.

The part a screen can’t give you — hands on you, in real time.

Is this you?

You’ve thought about this before. Something stopped you.

  • You don’t have a movement or anatomy background.
  • You’re not sure you’d feel ready to teach a real client.
  • You can’t disappear into a full-time program for months.
  • Online-only never felt hands-on enough for you.
  • You want someone who actually knows your name.

Every one of those is why we built it this way.

Why train in the room

Four things that only happen in person.

12

A room, not a crowd

Never more than twelve people in the room. You’re seen, corrected and known by name — never a face at the back.

Hands

Corrections you can feel

Spring settings, carriage setup, tactile cueing. A mentor adjusts you as you move, which no recording can do.

Real

You teach real bodies

You lead sessions with real people watching, before you certify — not after, alone, with your first paying client.

After

It doesn’t end at the door

When the intensive finishes, your mentor continues with you online until you’re certified and teaching.

How it works

Three parts. Only one of them needs a plane ticket.

Our in-person programs are hybrid by design. You arrive at the studio already knowing the theory, so your days in the room are spent moving — not taking notes.

01
Before · from home

Live anatomy and theory

Functional anatomy taught live by our lead educator, recorded so you can revisit any concept, plus self-paced coursework. Finished before you travel.

02
The intensive · in the studio

Hands-on days on real equipment

Between 3 and 11 studio days depending on your track, around 4.5 hours a day. Mat repertoire first, then Reformer, then full apparatus — each layer building on the last.

03
After · mentored remotely

Your logged and mentored hours

Practice, observation and supervised teaching, guided by your mentor over video. You teach our instructors on their equipment, so you don’t need a machine at home.

You travel once. The support stays with you the whole way.

Choose your track

Four tracks. One standard of support.

Every track includes the same wrapper — live functional anatomy, personal 1-on-1 mentoring, live teaching practice, your mentoring workbook, and the Go Pilates Club after you certify.

Read those two columns together. Total hours is your whole certification — anatomy, theory, self-practice, observation and mentored teaching. Studio days is the only part that needs you in the room. A 450-hour Comprehensive certification asks you for eleven days in Los Angeles, not 450.

Not sure which one?

Almost nobody is, at this stage. Tell us where you want to teach and we’ll point you at the track that actually fits — sometimes that’s the shorter one, and sometimes it’s the online program instead.

A day in the studio

What the room actually looks like.

Studio days run about four and a half hours. Long enough to go deep, short enough that you can still think by the end of it.

Open

Move first

You take the work in your own body before you’re asked to teach it. Nothing is taught from a slide.

Middle

Break it down

Setup, springs, cueing, modifications. Why each exercise exists and who it isn’t for.

Then

You teach it

You lead your peers while a mentor watches and corrects you as you go — rep by rep, out loud, in the room.

Close

Questions, honestly answered

The part that gets cut when a group is too large. With twelve people, there’s time.

A look inside the studio you’ll be training in.
In every intensive

What’s included, always.

Personal 1-on-1 mentorship

A mentor who knows your name and stays with you through the intensive and long after it — every week, on every track.

Regular teaching practice

You teach, live, while your mentor watches and corrects you. The stage most programs skip entirely.

Your mentoring workbook

A dedicated workbook you open together with your mentor during your live sessions, so nothing gets lost between them.

Functional anatomy included

Taught live and recorded for life. Many schools charge $250–$980 for anatomy separately. Here it’s part of the programme.

Retakes without penalty

Our assessment exists to confirm you’re ready to teach safely, not to catch you out. If you need another attempt, you get one.

The Go Pilates Club

Workshops, member discounts and a global instructor network that stays open to you after you certify.

From the room

Women who got on a plane for this.

I flew to LA because I wanted more than another certification — I wanted real hands-on training. By the end of the week, I wasn’t just certified. I truly felt ready to teach.
EEmily, 29Austin, TX
I was nervous about changing careers in my forties, walking into a room full of strangers. By the first morning, it felt like I’d found my people.
NNicole, 46Denver, CO · Career change
I’d never taught before, so I was terrified of making mistakes. Every correction was encouraging, never embarrassing — by graduation I felt genuinely confident with real clients.
LLauren, 33Seattle, WA
Before you ask

The questions that stop people signing up.

Do I need teaching experience to enroll?
No. Most of our students have never taught. The anatomy and theory bring everyone to a shared foundation before the studio days begin, and the whole program is built to take you from practising Pilates to leading a room.
Do I need my own equipment at home?
No. The equipment work happens in the studio during your intensive. For your mentored teaching hours afterwards, you teach our instructors over video while they’re on their own equipment, so you don’t need a machine at home to build real hours.
Can I do this while working full-time?
Yes. The anatomy sessions are live but recorded, and all theory is self-paced. The only fixed commitment is your studio days, which is why we run both a weekend track and a continuous run — so you can pick the one that costs you less time off.
What if I miss a studio day?
Talk to us. Anatomy and theory are recorded so those are easy to catch up. For studio days, small cohorts mean we can usually arrange a way to make up what you missed rather than push you to the next cohort.
Will studios and gyms recognize this certification?
Mat and Mat + Reformer make you eligible to sit the NPCP Mat examination (the PMC credential). The 450-hour Comprehensive makes you eligible to sit the NCPT examination. Reformer on its own awards a Go Pilates Academy certificate rather than an NPCP credential. In every case the credential is earned by passing NPCP’s exam — our programme is your pathway to sit it.
How is this different from your online certification?
The credential is identical. The difference is how you learn it: online is self-paced with weekly live mentoring and no travel, in-person is a fixed intensive with hands-on corrections in the room. Neither is the lesser option — they suit different lives.
Are payment plans available?
Yes, on every track. We’ll walk through the options with you on your call so you can plan properly rather than guess.
