What Our Students Say About Us
Mat + Reformer Certification FAQ
How does the program work?
Same structure as our Mat program but covers both mat AND reformer. You receive weekly task packages, meet your mentor twice a week for 1-on-1 sessions, and join a group Practice Lab once a week. The reformer sessions focus on mastering spring tension, setups, transitions, and safe cueing for both in-person and virtual clients.
Why choose Mat + Reformer over Mat only?
Reformer-trained instructors are significantly more marketable: most studios require reformer knowledge, reformer classes typically pay 30-50% more, and you can work with a wider range of clients. It’s the most popular choice for instructors who want to build a full career.
Do I need my own reformer?
You need REGULAR access to a Pilates Reformer. You don’t have to own one — many students use a local studio, rent one, or share with a fellow student. Contact us before enrolling if you’re not sure about access — we’ll help you find a solution.
Is mentorship included?
Yes! 34 personal mentoring sessions (2x/week for ~17 weeks) + 17 group Practice Labs are fully included. No extra fees. Your mentor guides you through both mat and reformer techniques.
How long does it take?
We recommend about 120 days (~21 hours per week). But this is flexible — your weekly task packages adapt to your pace. Some students finish faster, others take longer. Your mentor adjusts with you.
What if I already have Mat certification from another school?
Contact us! We evaluate previous training on a case-by-case basis. If your mat certification meets our standards, we can create a bridge program so you don’t repeat what you already know.
What equipment do I need besides a reformer?
A Pilates mat, basic props (resistance band, small ball, foam roller), webcam, stable internet, and enough space to move. Your student kit with additional materials is included in the program.
Can I upgrade to Comprehensive later?
Yes! Mat + Reformer graduates can continue to Comprehensive certification. It’s an additional ~30 days of training focused on Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels. All your previous coursework counts — no starting over.
Is the certification internationally recognized?
Yes! Our certification meets NPCP and PAA standards. You can teach mat and reformer classes anywhere in the world.
