The Pilates Academy

Miami · Hallandale Beach · November 16–23, 2026

Become a certified Pilates teacher in eight days.

You already know the work. You’ve felt the moment a client’s body finally understands something. What you don’t have is the certificate that lets you charge for it — and most programs want two years and $8,000 before they’ll give you one. We built a different way.

The real obstacle

Why teaching Pilates stays a someday plan.

It’s almost never about ability. It’s about three things that make certification harder than it needs to be.

Two years is too long

Traditional programs stretch across 18 to 24 months. Life moves, motivation fades, and most people who start never finish.

The cost sits out of reach

Comprehensive programs routinely run $7,000 to $10,000 before observation hours, exam fees and materials are added on top.

Nobody prepares you for the business

You finish knowing repertoire and still have no idea how to price a session, find your first ten clients, or talk to a studio owner.

Our curriculum

The Flow Method™

Most programs teach you exercises. We teach you how to read a body in front of you and build a session for it in real time — which is the actual job.

The Flow Method is a sequenced progression through mat and reformer repertoire built around transitions, breath and correction. It’s the reason our graduates walk into a studio and teach on day one instead of reciting a script.

Theory runs on Zoom before you arrive, so your studio days are entirely hands-on. No lecture time on a reformer you’re paying to stand next to.

Recognised, not improvised

The Mat and Mat + Reformer tracks are an NPCP Verified Program and follow the NPCP Pilates Mat Certification pathway — the recognised US standard, so the credential is one studios and insurers accept. The Reformer track awards a Go Pilates Academy certificate and does not lead to the NPCP exam.

Seven hundred graduates across more than thirty countries have come through this curriculum.

Inside the studio

What a day actually looks like.

Five hours, twelve to five, every day of the intensive. No lectures, no slides, no sitting. You are on the equipment or teaching someone who is.

12:00
Warm-up and review

You move through yesterday’s repertoire in your own body before you teach it to anyone.

12:30
New repertoire

Your educator demonstrates, breaks down the mechanics, and names what to watch for in a client.

1:30
Hands-on practice

You teach it. In pairs, out loud, with corrections happening in real time.

2:45
Break

Thirty minutes. Bring lunch or grab something nearby — most people spend it going over what they just learned.

3:15
Modifications and populations

The same exercise for a pregnant client, a stiff back, a knee replacement. This is the part that separates a teacher from a demonstrator.

4:15
Sequencing

Building a full class that flows, with the transitions that hold it together.

5:00
Done

You leave with the day’s material and something specific to practice before tomorrow.

The structure

How the eight days are built.

Theory first, hands-on second, assessment once you’re ready — not before.

1

Functional Anatomy, live on Zoom

Ten live hours with our anatomy faculty on October 17 and 18, plus twenty hours of recorded modules you take at your own pace. All of it done before you set foot in the studio.

October 17–18 · Live on Zoom
2

Mat repertoire in the studio

Full mat repertoire, cueing, hands-on correction and sequencing. Small enough that you’re teaching and being corrected all day, not watching.

November 16–18 · 12:00 to 5:00 daily
3

Reformer repertoire in the studio

Spring work, transitions, modifications and building a full reformer session for a real body. One reformer per student — never sharing.

November 19–23 · 12:00 to 5:00 daily
4

Supervised teaching hours

Twenty hours of practice teaching under supervision. Do them at the studio where you already work, or with us in Hallandale Beach.

Is this the right program for you?

We’d rather you decide now than three days in.

This is built for you if

  • You have a consistent Pilates practice and know the work from the inside
  • You can clear eight consecutive days and protect them
  • You want to teach within months, not years
  • You learn faster by doing than by reading
  • You already have access to a studio for your practice hours

Look elsewhere if

  • You’ve never taken a Pilates class — start with a practice first
  • You need to spread the training across weekends over a year
  • You want a program you can pause and resume
  • You’re looking for a fitness qualification rather than Pilates specifically
What your tuition covers

Nothing here is an add-on.

Functional Anatomy

10 live Zoom hours and 20 hours of recorded modules.

Studio sessions

Small group, one reformer per student, five hours a day.

Course manual

Printed and handed to you on your first day.

Final assessment

Roughly five hours, with retakes at no extra cost.

Certification

Internationally recognised, issued on completion.

Go Pilates Club

Our graduate community — teaching leads, member discounts and events.

The studio

Where you’ll train in Miami.

Amaré Wellness Studio in Hallandale Beach — nine reformers, a full mat floor, and a team that rates 4.9 across thousands of client reviews. It sits just north of Miami, roughly thirty minutes from both Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale, with free parking at the door.

501 N Dixie Highway, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009

Twelve people. Not thirty.

Every session runs with one reformer per student and an educator who can see all of you at once. You will be corrected by name, out loud, several times a day. That is uncomfortable, and it is exactly why it works.

Chen Leibovich, founder
The founder

I built this because no one built it for me.

A serious injury put me on the mat. Pilates gave me myself back, and I knew I had to teach it. But when I stood in front of my first real client I was terrified — I held a certificate that hadn’t prepared me to teach a living, breathing body, with no mentor to call and no one in my corner.

I never wanted another woman to feel that alone. So I built the school I needed back then: small rooms, real mentorship, someone who stays with you past the certificate. When you train with us, you don’t get a certificate and a goodbye. You get us.

In their words

Real women. Real doubts. Real results.

I was nervous about changing careers in my forties, walking into a room full of strangers. By the first morning, it felt like I’d found my people.
Nicole · Denver, CO · Career change
I’d never taught before, so I was terrified of making mistakes. Every correction was encouraging, never embarrassing — by graduation I felt genuinely confident with real clients.
Lauren · Seattle, WA
I almost took an online course because it seemed easier. The hands-on corrections completely changed how I understand Pilates — you simply can’t replace that.
Ashley · San Diego, CA
How payment works

Nothing is taken until you’ve signed.

$1,000 to reserve

Covers registration, your course manual and the anatomy module. Non-refundable, because we commit to those costs the moment you enroll.

Split the balance

Klarna or Afterpay, or two direct installments before the intensive begins. No interest from us either way.

Everything in writing first

You receive the enrollment agreement and liability waiver before payment, and you sign them with us on the call.

Two promises

Investing in yourself shouldn’t feel like a gamble.

Our continued support promise

Complete every stage of the program and still don’t pass? We keep mentoring and preparing you at no extra cost until you do. Retakes are always included.

We don’t disappear after graduation

Continued mentor access and the Go Pilates Club community are yours for a full year after you certify. The scariest part isn’t the exam — it’s the silence afterwards.

Before you enroll

Questions people ask.

Do I need to be an experienced Pilates practitioner?
You need a consistent practice and a body that understands the work from the inside. You do not need to be an athlete, a dancer, or already teaching. Most of our students come in as devoted clients who decided to cross over.
Is eight days really enough?
The eight days are the hands-on portion. Anatomy theory happens before you arrive, and supervised teaching hours happen after. What we’ve removed is the dead time — the months of waiting between weekend modules that make traditional programs long without making them better.
What certification do I actually receive?
The Mat and Mat + Reformer tracks follow the NPCP Pilates Mat Certification pathway, the recognised US standard. The Reformer track awards a Go Pilates Academy certificate and does not lead to the NPCP exam. We’d rather tell you that plainly now than have you discover it later.
Will studios hire me with this?
Our graduates teach in studios and gyms across more than thirty countries. Mat + Reformer opens the most doors, because most studios in Miami are reformer-based. We can’t promise you a job — nobody honestly can — but we do help you find one, and our graduate community shares openings directly.
What are the supervised teaching hours?
Twenty hours of practice teaching under a qualified supervisor, required for certification. If you already work at a studio, you can complete them there at no additional cost. If you’d rather do them with us at the studio, that’s available as an add-on.
How do I pay?
A $1,000 deposit reserves your seat and covers registration, course materials and the anatomy module. The balance can be split through Klarna or Afterpay, or paid in two direct installments before the intensive begins.
What if I have to withdraw?
The deposit is non-refundable, as it covers costs we commit to on your behalf the moment you enroll. The remaining balance is governed by the refund terms in your enrollment agreement, which you’ll receive and sign before any payment is taken.
Can I miss a session?
No. Eight days is a compressed format and every session builds on the one before it. Certification requires full attendance, so please look at the dates carefully before you enroll.
Why is it this much cheaper than other programs?
Because we don’t rent a studio for two years to teach the same material. Theory runs on Zoom, the hands-on work is compressed into consecutive days, and your practice hours happen in a studio you already have access to. The savings are structural, not a discount on quality.
Why is the founding rate limited?
This is our first cohort in Miami. The founding rate is what we offer the group that comes in before we have local graduates to point to. It ends on September 25, and the next cohort here will be priced at $5,400.
