The full mat repertoire, the anatomy behind it, and the teaching skills to lead a room — with a mentor watching you teach every week until you’re ready.
About the credential: Mat makes you eligible to sit the NPCP Mat exam and hold the PMC credential. The 450-hour Comprehensive leads to the NCPT.
What you’ll be able to do.
Not what you’ll have sat through — what you’ll be able to walk into a studio and deliver.
- Teach safe beginner and intermediate mat classes, start to finish
- Build a complete class plan from scratch, for a level and a goal
- Modify any exercise for a body that can’t do it as written
- See what a body is doing wrong and correct it in the moment
- Cue clearly, in your own voice, without reading from notes
- Recognise when an exercise is contraindicated — and what to do instead

Every module is delivered the same way regardless of format — the only thing that changes is whether the practical work happens in our studio or over live video.

Observation of an experienced teacher22 hrs
You observe experienced teachers — in our live sessions, or a teacher you arrange locally. A written observation analysis is submitted for each one.
Self-practice24 hrs
Structured practice assignments per module, with a practice log and periodic video check-ins.
Practice teaching — logged12 hrs
You teach real bodies and log every session. We guide you through how to arrange it.

Your mentor watches you teach in real time and debriefs with you afterwards.

Assessment — written and practical2 hrs
Written theory examination and a live practical teaching assessment, proctored.
Every hour is documented. Observation analyses, practice logs and video check-ins are submitted as you go, so nothing has to be reconstructed at the end.

Complete the instruction hours
All 30 hours of taught instruction, covering the seven content areas above.
Complete and document your hours
Observation analyses, structured practice assignments with a log, and logged practice teaching — submitted as you go.
Pass theory and practical
A written examination and a full class you teach and are assessed on. Retakes are included, without penalty.
Submit your portfolio
Your final submission, reviewed by the team. We don’t sign a certificate we wouldn’t hire behind.

Two private mentor sessions a week
Live, one-on-one, with a mentor who knows your name and your progress throughout.
A weekly group Practice Lab
You teach in front of others and watch them teach. The rehearsal room for your first real class.
Functional anatomy included
Ten hours, taught live and recorded for life. Many schools bill anatomy separately at $250–$980.
Your training kit
Mat, ring, resistance bands, ball, grip socks and your printed workbook, shipped to your door.
Lifetime access
Every lesson and recording stays yours, including material we add after you graduate.
The Go Pilates Club
Workshops, member discounts and a global instructor network, open to you after you certify.
