Mat Pilates Certification FAQ
Can I start working with just mat training?
Absolutely! Mat certification allows you to start working as an instructor in studios and gyms, teach private sessions and group classes. It's an excellent entry point into the Pilates world.

Do I need any Pilates experience before enrolling?
No prerequisites required. Whether you're new to Pilates or have years of experience, our program meets you where you are. Your mentor will guide you from the very beginning.
What equipment do I need for the mat course?
- A quality Pilates mat (thicker than a yoga mat)
- Stable internet connection for live sessions
- Webcam and microphone for practice teaching
- Basic props: resistance band, small ball, foam roller
- Space to move freely (approximately 2×2 meters)
Can I expand my certification later?
Yes! The mat certification is a perfect foundation. You can later add:
- Reformer certification (additional 120 hours)
- Full apparatus training (additional 270 hours)
- Specialized workshops (prenatal, seniors, rehabilitation) All previous coursework counts toward advanced certifications.
How much time should I dedicate weekly?
We recommend 10-15 hours per week for optimal progress. This includes:
- Video lessons (3-4 hours)
- Personal practice (3-4 hours)
- Reading and assignments (2-3 hours)
- Live practice sessions (2 hours)
What if I can't attend live sessions?
All live sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours. While live attendance is beneficial for immediate feedback, you can progress through the course using recordings.

How does the course work?
It's a hybrid learning experience! You watch professional video lessons at your own pace – pause, rewind, rewatch as many times as you need. Then you book 1-on-1 mentorship sessions with our instructors to practice teaching, get feedback, and ask questions. The only thing you do alone is watch the videos. Everything else happens with our team supporting you.
Are 1-on-1 mentorship sessions included in the price?
YES! This is what makes us different. 1-on-1 mentorship is INCLUDED – it's not an extra fee. You get personal guidance throughout your entire journey, from day one until graduation.
How long does it take to complete?
It depends on how much time you invest each week. Some students finish in 1 month, others take 6 months. You set the pace! There are no deadlines – life happens, and we understand that. The course is designed for busy people who want flexibility.
Will I feel alone during the course?
Absolutely not! The only thing you do alone is watch the video lessons. All practice, feedback, questions, and teaching hours happen with our mentors by your side. We're with you every step of the way – that's our promise.
Is the certification internationally recognized?
Yes! Our certification is recognized by NPCP (National Pilates Certification Program) and PAA (Pilates Alliance Australasia). You can teach anywhere in the world with confidence.
Do I need previous Pilates experience?
We recommend having practiced Pilates for at least 6-12 months before starting. You don't need to be advanced, but familiarity with basic exercises helps you learn faster.
What equipment do I need?
For the Mat course, you'll need: a Pilates mat, and basic props like resistance bands, a small ball, and a magic circle. Most of these you probably already have!
What if I get stuck or have questions?
That's what we're here for! You can ask questions during your 1-on-1 sessions, message us anytime, or reach out to our team. We don't leave anyone behind.
What can I do after completing the Mat course?
You'll be qualified to teach Mat Pilates classes in studios, gyms, private homes, online – wherever you want! Many of our graduates also choose to continue to Mat + Reformer or Comprehensive certification to expand their skills.
Can I upgrade to a higher certification later?
Absolutely! Many students start with Mat and later upgrade to Mat + Reformer or
Comprehensive. We offer special pricing for graduates who want to continue their education.
